Player Development
As a young player when learning the game I was taught by the great Bill Shankly “do the simple things perfectly”.
Hugh McAuley Football Academy Coaching Philosophy
Young players learn and improve by having as many touches of the ball as possible in a training session.
Many of the practices we use will be with a ball each. Progressing to running, turning and passing with quality. There will also be individual practices for defenders, midfield players and strikers.
Players will be allowed to express themselves, play without fear of making mistakes, be encouraged to make their own decisions and discover the enjoyment of football.
Individual technical sessions will be developed into game related practices.
